Installing quality security measures is an investment in the safety and security of your home.

Burglar alarm systems are a long term investment that will reduce the risk of being the victim of crime and will bring you considerable peace of mind.

An intruder or burglar alarm consists of a combination of detection, control and signalling devices. Every part of this equipment has been developed to fulfil a specific task within the system. The components of the burglar alarm system are strategically placed in the building to be protected, in such a way that you can count on their constant, reliable and disturbance-free functioning.

There are basically two choices when choosing a burglar alarm system:

Choice 1 - Audible burglar alarm only:

The alarm sounds at the premises only. Response is reliant on somebody contacting the police to report it. Many forces have a policy whereby they will not attend audible only burglar alarms unless there is additional evidence to suggest a crime is being committed, in other words they are not likely to attend unless someone reports a visual sighting or noises such as glass breaking.

Choice 2 - Monitored burglar alarms:

The alarm sounds at the premises and a signal can be sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) via your existing phone line. The ARC will contact your nominated key holders and/or the appropriate emergency service (police/fire).

There is also the burglar alarm options of wired or wireless systems:

Option 1 - Wired burglar alarms:

Wired burglar alarm systems require cables to be installed throughout your home; this would normally take longer than installing a wireless burglar alarm system as a furnished home will require the existing furniture to be moved to allow the cables to be installed as discreetly as possible.

Option 2 - Wireless burglar alarms:

Wireless burglar alarm systems offer little disturbance and mess to your home. They can be installed quicker offering a more flexible approach to installation.

Maintenance.

All new intruder alarm systems come complete with 12 months maintenance, servicing and 24 hour cover. The routine maintenance inspections and servicing will be carried out to meet the requirements of the European Standard EN50131, the Equivalent British Standard PD6662 and the Security Systems & Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) regulations.
